A labor of love
This book covers the rich musical history of a certain place and time. It is a story that cried out to be told, and brothers Blackwell and Lake answered the call. There are some non-musicians who are just as passionate about music as those who make music.
This was a labor of love, and many of us will be forever indebted to the authors.
~Jim Downing, Tulsa Musician & Music Historian
Unprecedented
Looking through the book, I am absolutely amazed by the staggering amount of time and work it represents. Great job! I find myself sitting down to look some band like Medicine up, and when I glance back up at the clock, thirty minutes have passed.
What youve done is unprecedented, and there are a lot of us out here who really appreciate it.
~John Wooley, Author & Member of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame
Five star rating
This isnt a book, its a text book for advanced post graduate studies on the music scene in Tulsa 1955 - 1975. The research Teb has done on this monumental work is staggering. Highly recommended. The collection of photos alone gives it a five star rating. Dont miss it!
~Jimmy Karstein, Tulsa Sound Musician
